OLYMPIC PRODUCTIONS GUIDE FOR BANDS
PR INFORMATION:
Thanks for your interest in Olympic Productions. We are always interested in new material and bands. Let us know what your goals are (casual gigging, concerts, recording, touring, etc.)
You are welcome to email any files. (SMALL JPGs, GIFs, or text-Please do not send formatted files)
Do you play originals or covers??? Combination bands possible, but consider that a casual (cover) band's goal is generally to make money. You may consider TWO bands for your goals.
Basic PR Packet suggestions: (All on FAXABLE on 8 1/2 x 11 WHITE or LIGHT Pastel) Leave OFF any contact info/phone/email/site!
1) Cover Sheet (Name, Featuring, Styles, Bio, 3 Short one line Reviews, etc.)
2) Tech Sheet (equipment, PA needs)
3) Photo (8x10 glossy B&W preferable-call (800) 843-9259-Quantity Photo in LA-about .50/each, Color -email to us for web)
4) Cassette and/or CD (for casual bands: short 30 sec. clips of many songs, if possible. Originals really need to be on a finished CD-the better the track record, the better the shopping)
5) Repertoire Sheet (List of Songs arranged by style-not too many, enough for one sheet)
6) Video - will become more important in the future. Especially Casino booking, clubs, and label presentation.
7) Short description for our main database. Example:
Dreamatics
Great All-Variety Wedding Band!
The Dreamatics are a complete versatile band that features the vocals of Maggie Laird. The group can perform as a 3-4pc group (To get a big-band sound horns can be added as well). The band has performed all over the NW for weddings, parties, conventions, nightclubs, festivals, etc. The band is capable of both light background and up-tempo dance music. This is a down to earth, gutsy group! 4-6pc
For examples of all of the above, SEE BELOW or you are welcome to come in and look at the files....This can be VERY enlightening.
If you would like help in creating a very pro packet, Vance Nurkala works with me and has been helping musicians at very reasonable rates. He can create all of the above, along with logos, graphics, and possible some video production. Vance's number is: (206)713-8077.
